Clubbed thumbs

by Neilos, Oct 15, 2009 07:37AM
I'm worried that my stump thumbs may be inherited by my baby, which is due in a few months. What are the chances of my baby being a deformed freak like me?

I may be worrying unecessarily, because there's a fair chance the baby will turn out to be black (I'm white), but would I be able to stretch it's thumbs in any way? I have a very well equipped garden shed if it's not possible to find a treatment in hospital.

Look forward to hearing from you.

While there are certain hand conditions, including clubbing, that have a genetic component, you would need to discuss with a geneticist about the potential for your child.
