Concerns after breast reduction

Concerns after breast reduction

I had a breast reduction surgery 3.5 weeks ago.  For the last week and a half, my left breast has been swollen nearly twice the size of the right.  I feel a lot of pain with every step I take, bumps on a car ride, etc.  Probably, the more uncomfortable feeling is the pressure I feel.  It's almost hard to describe.  I can feel pressure, like a baloon under my skin, all of the time, but especially when sitting up or standing.  In the last few days, the outter part of my left breast has become tingly and numb, also hard to the touch.  I did not have drains post surgery.  I still have very small amounts of drainage on the left side which is yelllow in color.
I'm scared and frustrated.  Ive called my doctors office several times.  The nurse instructed me to take three adil, three times per day which I've done for a little over a week.  I finally convinced them to see me last friday, and they said 'it's fluid and is normal, give it time for my body to absorb, and I promise it will get better soon'.  I called again today to report the numbness.  The nurse said that she would allow me to see the doctor again, but I would be told the same thing by him as she told me; to give it time.
I can be patient, and I can give it time if I could understand what is happening, and why it's considered 'normal'.  I can't seem to wrap my brain around the idea that each day I expect to feel at least a little bit better and I don't.  Instead, things get worse (hence the new symptom of numbness and continued pain).
As I said, I have an appointment tomorrow.  I feel anxiety for even walking through the door as I feel I've not been taken seriously.  I really feel at a loss for how to deal with this.  I expected soreness, but not pain that got worse instead of better.  Any advice on my situation would be appreciated.
