Facial Hair Removal

by susan567, Jan 15, 2007 12:00AM
Does anyone have experienc with laser, electrolysis or other related facial hair removal procedures.

I recently read and entry in Dr. Peter Gott's column regarding a woman who had used product called Hair Block, which she got from CosmeticLabSales.com to help remove unwanted facial hair.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with over the counter products like this vs. having surgery or undergoing potentially painful experiences.

According to the article, Hair Block is a roll-on that removes the hair gently and the hair stays off for four or five weeks and only costs around $7.99, so I thought I'd post this question to get feedback from others that may have suggestions, as well.

Thanks,
Cindy

Hair Block was challenged to provide proof of its similar performance claims, including "melts away unwanted hairand stops it from growing back!" When the product's makers failed to comply with this request, the NAD issued a default judgment, and subsequently the product was withdrawn from the market pending further testing.

I had laser hair removal -- at Hair Today Gone Tommorrow.  It was NOT painful, it just left redness right afterwards that lasted an hour or so.  Most places will give you a free consultation and let you 'feel' the laser by giving you a pulse on your hand or face.  It works best on those with fair skin and dark hair.  It will not take away light or white hair -- so not good for peach fuzz.  The hair has not come back and I stopped treatments 3 years ago.  It really is a worthwhile investment

A few years ago I read an article of a woman praising a product for
facial hair removal but neglected to write down the name of the company.  I believe the name had the word laboratories in the title.

Can you help me find this product?

yes! i know four people who did lazer , and the hair comes back eventually, its a waste of money and too expensive.
i know five people who did electrolisis and paid approximately 75 dollars and hour and took the problem from root . it was faster process depending on the thicknesss of the hair, you might have to go a couple extra times, but way less times than lazer. and the hiar NEVER EVER COMES BACK FOR SURE!!!
