Is abdominoplasty appropriate for thin people?

Is abdominoplasty appropriate for thin people?

I am quite slender health 28 y/o male.  Actually I'm rather skinny...except for my abdomen.  My habitus is not unlike the images of starving children in Africa, except not nearly to that degree.  If I put on any weight it goes straight to my abdomen and I still have thin extremities.

Would an abdominoplasty or other procedure be appropriate for me?  If so would an adjunctive procedure to define my abdominal muscles be possible?

Also, does abdominoplasty remove subcutaneous fat or actual visceral fat?

Thank you.

Good Question for thin OR fat people!  How come this site has all these great questions, but no answers?  Is anybody out there?

Without seeing you, it is difficult to say.  Generally abdominoplasty tightens the abdominal muscle and removes excess skin, only a little fat.  To remove alot of belly fat liposuction might be a better option.  I would recommend a consult with a reputable PS.  They could answer better, than I.  Good Luck!
