Is labial reduction necessary?

We are producing a documentary for Channel 4 and are wondering what women think about the rise in cosmetic vaginal surgery?

How do women feel about vaginal issues and their own vaginas? Is anyone considering surgery, and if yes, we'de love to talk to you about why...

I used to think that these kinds of procedures were unecessary and vain. Then I had a baby and completely changed my mind. The doctor stitched me up completely wrong and none of my skin healed together. It is now 11 months since I gave birth and I hate my vagina. Both of my labias have become very large in size and cause a great deal of discomfort not only during sex but even when i wear tight jeans or undies....bikini is out of the question for me. As I have been researching Labiaplasty I have come across a lot of comments from men such as the ones above, however in my experience guys don't find vagina's like mine attractive. Ofcourse there are men like that out there but how do you even go about finding out which ones do and don't. That's a bit of a weird question on a first date dont you think? "hey by the way my pu**y lips hang really low..are you into that?" lol and even if I do find someone who is actually into it (which is less than likely) it is also very painful during intercourse. My lips get very irritated and sometimes swell. So to answer your question I think that the number of women getting vaginal surgery increasing is GREAT. I think that every woman should be comfortable with her sexuality!! I think that women who are not happy with their vagina lower their standards and sometimes feel like they have to put up with certain things in a relationship because another man won't like their vagina. I also think that men would feel very differently about this situation if one day they were to wake up with a small shrivelled up penis. It's much more emotionally disturbing than you think boys!!

Another guys perspective. No it isn't necessary and I also prefer a natural woman no implants and no labiaplasty, same for men no circumcision.

Any woman considering this has to think again.

Most guys love labia,  Reduce them, I dont think so unless they are so big that they are uncomfortable or there is a health issue. To me big lips are just great and most guys I know think so too.
