Messed up cartilage in Ear

Last year my ear was round, but it got hit and now it looks different.

It has all these little rugged white little bumps, and instead of being round, it is in the form of an S. When before my ear look like The opposite ear also in my album.

The bumps constantly put pressure against the skin, and I can actually feel them in my ears.

My primary doctor said the cartilage looked normal, and the only thing I could do is see a plastic surgeon. Are there any other options and how much would it cost to fix this annoying and painful ear.

Can anyone answer this question? I had another account and forgot the username, but I already posted something similar in dermatology and surgery without any answers.

Well if it is really causing you pain, then insurance might be able to cover it, though you'd probably have to appeal the insurance company to get it covered. The only option I know of is to go with the plastic surgeon. Plastic surgeons do both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, so if it's painful it can be considered reconstructive. Talk to the doctor about it, just having a consultation and see if you really want to go through with it. Surgery has it's risks, so make sure it's something you really want to do.. good luck.
