Pain Post Breast Reduction

by tk150, May 16, 2009 06:33PM
I had a breast reduction on March18th. I didn't have any drains and have healed quite nicely. My scars look great and my breasts are shaping up really well. The problem is I have spordaic pain in my breasts. I get this shooting, sharp pains across my breasts at no particular time of day or night. My susrgeon said that he has had women have "nerves" shoot pain from the outside of the breast but never across the middle of the breast (across the nipple area). Any suggestions?

Thanks

This is a very common complaint that may last several months or more after the surgery.  It gradually becomes less frequent and then disappears. There  is no specific treatment other than infrequent use of pain medication.
