Pain in Ear (Otoplasty)

I had otoplasty about 6 years ago. I have recently experienced pain in the left ear; in the cartilage behind the ear. I'm just wondering if this is normal. It's not a real pain, it's more a dull achy feeling. Could this be from scarring? I really don't want to go through corrective surgery. I remember the pain being terrible. It hurts to wear sunglasses, is that normal? I'm just worried. I had an ear infection a while back and the doctor pulled my ears up to look inside, could this have caused some damage? I hope this goes away on its own. Please help. Thank you so much!

has the pain gone away? it could be from scarring, part of the natural healing process. a lot of times, scar tissue will develop a while after the procedure.
