Smoking before rhinoplasty

How does smoking marijuana before a surgery affect the surgery? what can be the possible outcome? Is it a great risk? how many days do you have to stop smoking before the surgery?

There is some evidence of potential pulmonary complications associated with chronic marijuana use and general anesthesia, but there is also controversy about this.  I doubt that the marijuana use will affect the outcome of the nasal surgery itself.  No one has a specific timeline to discontinue smoking prior to a general anesthetic, but I would suggest discontinuation of smoking at least one week prior to the procedure would be advisable.
