Swelling after tummy tuck

It's been over 4 months since my tummy tuck (6/09/09).  I have seen my ps about 5 times since surgery.  He assured me the sweeling would go down and that it can take up to 6 months to be perfectly healed.  I can see a difference right around the scar and belly button area, but I still have swelling in pubic area and also above belly button up to right under my breasts.  I asked him if this was normal, and he said I'm not swollen anymore and that's just me.  I asked if I worked out would I be able to get rid of it, he said yes.  But if I took the risk of having surgery, went through a long recovery,  shouldn't I see better results?  Should I be concerned and get second opinion?

I had diastatis recti repair and a tummy tuck about 7 weeks ago.  I've noticed just a little swelling around the pubic area. I've worn a compression garment since day 1 of my surgery. I think the garment helps to keep the swelling down to a minimum. I do notice when I take the garment off for a long period of time, I get a little swollen in the pubic area. Overall, I am extremely pleased with everything! Good Luck!

I had  my tummy tuck 8 weeks ago and over all I am very pleased. I also still have some puffyness around my belly button area.I'm hoping I still have some swelling in that area and it will go away with time. I see my ps again next week, so I will ask about it. Are you still wearing your binder?  I have continued to wear mine as much as I can.
