My pain went away within 3 days and they do get softer, over time. On a not so happy note, I have had 5 surgeries in the last year and have to have another one in the fall due to complications(wrong size, he made them too big, capsular contraction, bottoming). I actully had to have one taken out for 3 months and only had one boob. Its not all a walk in the park.

I also have been self conscious since I got them, because its ALL men look at.

I got mine 14 years ago but I will tell you it was the most painful thing I've ever done.  It took several weeks for mine to stop hurting, it just takes time.  They will loosen up after the swelling goes down.  Mine were a full C after the surgery but now, many years later, I'm struggling to fill the C cup bra.  I don't know why that happens, I guess they shrink!  I wish I'd never gotten them though.  I've regretted it since I woke up from the surgery.  They look nice but I've been self conscious since I got them.
