breast reconstuction after bi lateral mastocmy

hey doctor. i had breast cancer stage 3 back in 2000 with 36 weeks of radiation. i just had 30  cysts in my right breast so i opted to get a bi lat mastocmy w recontruction the doctor here put implants in and 3 weeks later had another surgery implants came out due to skin turning black from the radiation. the new surgery thw doctor put in spacers the right breast is healing fine the left breast isnt healing good has 2 small holes the size of pen tip called my doctor and he said the spacer on my left has to come out due to skin not healing. is this right.? thank you for taking the time to read and answer

yea, that would sound correct.. if it's not healing well, it's best to remove it and let your body heal. you need to give your body time. it's been through a lot.
