ear numbness and tingling

by pluto207, Mar 25, 2008 07:58PM
Will the numbness and tingling in ears subside with time and how long should I brace myself for?  This is the worst I've experienced as it is a constant immediately after a "quick recovery" facelift.  Impossible to sleep on anything but back.  Is there any remedy for the bizarre feeling of ear "attachments"?.

Most likely your surgeon compromised the Great Auricular Nerve (GAN).  It my reinnervate in time, but you may always have phantom feelings.  Forget seeking answers from other doctors, as they will want no part of you or your problem.  The standard medical community alienates themselves from "elective" proceedures such as cosmetic surgery.  These surgeons do the job on the outside, but butcher the inside.  You sign the consent forms.  They're common comeback is give it time!
