hematoma after face lift

hematoma after face lift

i had a face lift 5 weeks ago and i was in the surgery room for 6 hours when te dr had told me it would take only 2 and a half to 3 hours. i had developed hematoma under my eyes and from temple to my jaws on both side and on the corner of my mouth. the corner of my mouth are gone now but the ones in front of my ears are still  there some parts are bluish and some are red or yellow. these pars are very hard and have no sensations. 2 or 3 days after surgery under the skin im my mouth was full of blood and my mouth was swollen which went away after a day. i am very scared that these would never go away. the dr says i have to wait another 2 months. what do you suggest? sometimes i feel i have to die. please help me.

There are always dangers to having surgery and I'm sorry you had this happen. There really isn't anything you can do right now, and it is probably best to wait to see how your body heals itself. If they don't go away after then you can look for options on how to minimize the discoloration and problems. Though you may want to go for another opinion from another plastic surgeon. good luck.
