preventing scars

Hi,

I just completed tissue expansion to have a nasty hypertrophic scar on my upper arm moved up onto my shoulder. Now that the expansion process is over, my arm looks almost brand new.But I was wondering what the best method is to prevent the new scar on my shoulder from looking as bad as the old one did. Is there anything I can do to prevent
scar tissue from forming?
