scars

I have a scar on my right part of chin,Its pretty big(approximately the size of lips) caused due to an accident. I want to get it cleared. What procedure shoul i opt for and what will be the pros and cons of having it.

You can either try laser treatments or scar revision surgery. We tried the laser treatments for my daughter but it didn't work. However, I guess it does work for some people in different situations. I know it can be good for removing tatoos and sometimes it can smooth out scars and make them less noticable. Any dermatologist can do this. If you opt for the surgery, see if you can get your doctor to send a referral to your insurance to see a plastic surgeon. There will probably still be a scar but they may be able to make it less noticable.
