swollen stomach following breast reduction

My daughter has recently had a breast reduction operation and has since developed a very  swollen hard distended stomach ;mostly in the upper stomach area. Could this be related to her operation or the fact that she flew overseas within a week of her operation.  She has also been dieting. Has any one else had similar symptoms Also any ideas on what she can do.?
