colon

i am a 60 yrs old female and have been told that i have ulcers on my colon. about every three to four weeks i start to have blood in my motion,i then have to use acacol 1g foam enema . is this the norm or should i go back to my doctor, or is there any thing else that could help me ,i eat very healthy.
