Also have active UC but no inflammatory markers in blood tests?

Is there anyone who also has no inflammatory markers (elevated white cell count or sed rate or CRP) in their blood tests while in the midst of an Ulcerative Colitis flare-up (moderate to severe)? Any idea why this happens or how it's even possible? Just doesn't make sense, and yet here I am with exactly that. Wonder how common it is.
