Baralgin?

by shlwood, Jun 17, 2009 06:09PM
I have Crohn's and have moderate to severe abdomen pain.  However, I also have alot of chronic joint pain, which can be associated with Crohn's.  My doctor had prescribed a narcotic pain releive, which I decided to discontinue due to side effects and the stigma of taking narcotics.  My doctor told me that I could only take acetaminophen, steroids, or narcotic pain meds....can't take NSAIDS with Crohn's.  Acetaminophen isn't strong enough and it can cause liver damage.  Steriods make me so ill that I feel like "I could bite off a rat's head;so, I try to avoid steroids.  Narcotic pain meds...well, we all know the stigma, plus you build up a tolerance.  Is anyone taking anything for their pain?  Has anyone tried Baralgin?  I did some research on the internet, and it sounds like it might be a good choice.  Any suggestions?
