Blisters in anal region

Has anyone experienced blisters around the anus towards the top of the butt crack after having a lot of diarreha. They are small and itch a bit to begin with and eventually ulcerate...never scabbing or crusting. I don't know how it could be herpes but it does resemble that in initial stages.
