CROHNS ????

I am being tested for Crohns at the moment, as have had Diarrhea for months non stop. Everytime i eat my stomach goes mad and its a rush to the loo. I have suffered with IBS for many years, however my GP thinks now it is not that. I had a course of steriods which worked great and all symptoms vanished while on them.
I had my colonoscopy 2 weeks ago and what concerns me is my bowel looked fine. I am waiting now foe biopsy results 6-8 wks. What i am worried about is all my bloods are fine and bowel looks fine, so what is it as there is NO WAY it can be IBS, as its hell.
I have also lost alot of weight. Has anyone else been like me and had a positive crohns even though colonoscopy looked ok and bloods where fine. Any info would be great as really worried now, especially the weight loss.

When they did the colonoscopy did they look into the small intestine?
Chrons can be in the small intestine and sometimes the dr can't get into it during the colonoscopy.
There is a blood test that shows if you have the gene for chrons.  Especially since you have weight loss I would think that the insurance would pay for the test.  It is expensive but it can show if you have chrons and then you could be treated accordingly.
Best of Luck
