Changes in bowl habits and stool shape

Changes in bowl habits and stool shape

As a child I had encopresis(intentionally holding back bowl movements), and I went to the doctor and they tried to help me, but I still secretly continued withholding bowl movements. I am no 15 and am trying to overcome this habit. I read that this condition (encorpresis) does not lead to anything, but my stool is sometimes orange, and some times dark brown, and I have not had a properly shaped stool in months. I have no intestinal pain, nothing. Could this just be because of withholding feces, and does withholding feces lead to anything major.
