Complications due to megacolon

I had a rectal strip myectomy back in Aug 03.  I went to the radiologist for an upper gi to confirm a hietal hernia.  After it was confirmed the radiologist wanted me to go see the GI dept because she thought I was constipated.  I went over and they did a series of workups, sitz markers, defecagram, colonoscopy, something with a balloon, etc....The GI doc wanted me to have this surgery to confirm that he thought I had hirschsprungs (mind you that I was 30 years old).  Had the myectomy in Aug 03. A few weeks had passed and I was unable to have bowel movements, the follow up with the surgeon was negative results for hirschprungs, there were the normal nerves present.  In about Oct 03 I started experiencing dizzy spells, an ER visit led me to believe that I had vertigo, which was ruled out later.  Saw a neuro and a cardiologist.  I was told that my megacolon is sitting on my pelvic floor cutting off blood flow, essentially causing continual near vaso-vagal syncope.  Have you ever heard/seen of a patient with this after effect of surgery?  I am currently taking 1 half-lytle per week (was doing golyltle every 3-5 days).  The main question is can a megacolon cut off blood returning to the heart and can it cause the heart to act funny, like skipping beats, SVT's?
