Constipation

Hi
Ive just been told I can finish my medication (asacol) as my crohnes is in complete remission and has been for around a year and a half. I have been on this medication for around 8 years. However, since I have finished the medication I am constantly struggling to go to the toilet properly. I have purposely increased the amount of fibre in my diet and am drinking water constantly, although nothing seems to help. I have tried two different types of laxatives and still haven't had much relief.
Please help
Thanks

hey i can relay with you, i am not in remission but i get constipated really bad sometimes, i go from going to the toilet 20 times a day to not being able to go at all my doctor says is the crohn's, so you might want to ask your doctor about it, when i have this problem my doctor prescribe me some miralax and helps a i don't cramp, one more thing my doctor always tell me that is better to go because with the crohn's you can get an obstruccion and being constipated it could be a sign of it, so check with your doctor
