Crohn's and now diabetes II!

31 years old Crohn's patient on humira. Now I'm in the midst of a new-onset diabetes II diagnsos. Cannot say I'm looking forward to this diagnosis or the treatment issues when dealing with both conditions!! Any chance these are related? I admit to a high sugar diet.
