Crohns disease and virus

I have severe Crohns and currently taking 40 mg weekly injections.   Would anyone know if it is safe for me to be exposed to someone who has recently gotten over a bad virus..  I know taking Humira suppresses my immune sytem but wasn't sure if that included virus as well as bacterial infections.  My nephew has planned to stay with me for the weekend and his fever just broke yesterday..  He has had the virus for 4 days now.

Thank you!

I'm on Remicade infusions and I was told that I was not supposed to use biologics when sick.  You might want to talk to your gasto.

I was on Imuran as well as Humira and I never got sick, even after being around people who were. Maybe I was just lucky.

Keep hand sanitizer with you at all times. Remember not to touch your face as well, and get lots of rest!

Viruses are no different from bacterial infections as far as immunity.
