I had bad nausea, severe fatigue, abdominal pain(woke me up), and bad constipation. Crohns can affect not just the digestive tract but
- eyes(swelling and nerve pain)
- joints(pain, athritis)
- thinning of the bowel wall(leads to holes)
- malnutrition(because of low appitite)
- colon cancer(many reasons)
- kidney stones(calcium deficiency)
- bile duct inflammation
- gallstones
- osteoporosis(weak bones)
- skin inflammation
As you can see there are many complications that go along with crohns. After all, it is a crohnic disease.
Hi there!
The symptoms of crohn’s include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence, bloating, stunted growth, malabsorption etc. There may be immune related systemic/ extra-GI involvement presenting as eye symptoms, joint inflammation, skin involvement etc. In case of joint involvement a detailed evaluation by a rheumatologist is typically required for appropriate management, in addition to a gastroenterological consult.
Hope this information is helpful.
Take care!
