Diverticulosis and Anemia

In July of 2012 I was hospitalized for severe blood loss due to Diverticulosis. I required a blood transfusion. Two units to be precise. Two weeks ago a was told I am very anemic. I expected to be anemic after the blood loss in July but is it common to still be 9 months later?

Have you been taking your iron?  I just found out that with Celiac disease, iron deficiency anemia may last 12 years, so I don't know if you are still having a mild bleed or your body just isn't recovering from the anemia, but you need to treat this and have monitoring of your levels.  You will feel much better if you can get it back to normal.
