Dumping

by ladybug55, Jul 02, 2008 11:26PM
My 24 yr old daughter had her gall bladder removed lapro.
Since, she has had diarrhea and vomiting/naseau.
The doc said she had something called dumping syndrome that it is similar to Chron's Disease.
Gave her some meds, the vomiting stopped but not the diarrhea doc now has trying a different med.  Takes one in morn and one at nite was told this would be lifelong.  What is dumping?  Is this a complication from the surgery?
Her gallbladder was so inflamed taht they put her in hospital for 4 days on antibiotics before they could even do the surgery two weeks later.  Her Dad has IBS is any of this related?
