Groin pain

I notice with my Colitis flare ups that my groins (more my right side) will have a dull ache along with my joints aching. Is there some treatment for the aches?

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. The symptoms may or may not be related to Crohn’s. Possible causes that may need to be considered include Crohn’s fare up, GU infections with reactive arthritis or unrelated causes such as infections, inflammations, joint degeneration, neuro-muscular issues etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought. Meanwhile you could try using Tylenol and see if it seems to help with the symptoms.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
