Imuran

I'm looking at starting a course of Imuran next week for my moderately severe active Crohn's and inflammatory arthritis...was wondering what the most common side effects are and how often I'll need to have regular bloodwork done to check for serious adverse effects.

My son has been on it for over a year for his ulcerative colitis and it has been a godsend.  He is so happy living in remission.  I believe in the first month he had bloodwork done weekly, then bi-weekly and then monthly.  He has had no side effects whatsoever.
