Inflamation of ileocecal valve

Hello everyone:
I'm brand new to these boards.  A couple of months ago, I had noticed I had really been losing some weight without trying, 17 lbs.since December.  Doctor did a blood test, RBC and blood sugar was low.  Doctor recommended a colonoscopy which I had tuesday.  The GI doctor found and removed 1 polyp, an internal hemorrhoid and inflammation at the ileocecal valve of which he took a biopsy of.  Today the doctors office called and said biopsies were normal but I have colitis, come back in a month, that was it.  No explanation of what kind of colitis, (I assume its the ileocecal valve like the doctor said after the colonoscopy.)  Nothing about what to do in the mean time.  I asked for some specifics, the nurse asked if the doctor gave any specific instructions after the scope and I said no so she just said then no specific instructions until I see the doctor.  Is this the normal procedure?  With this diagnosis what should I be expecting next?  I did ask if I could please speak to the doctor, but he was already out of the office so it would probably be monday at the soonest.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.
