Hey guys my mum has been suffering Chron's now for 15 yrs and ever since i was a wee boy all i can remember is her screaming in pain, the amount of pain she has gone through i dont think i could have lasted a day of it tbh.
After years of suffering, they realised that infact she had cysts the size of golfballs all over one of her bowels, this could have been spotted had they opened her up when it first started and not just kept forcing tablet after tablet to her, she is a very placid person and is afraid to speak up for herself ,so allowed it to continue.
She finally was operated on as they with all the years of the cysts they had to remove one of her bowels, so after a few months with the colostomy
and told her they needed to operate on her again to remove her gallblader (gallbladder), which she was a little worried about another operation as she hadnt fully ever recovered since the first one,but knew she had to as "the pain would be the end of her".
She has been living on Antiboitics and really strong painkillers now for years, and theyre telling her now it could be causing problems with her kidneys.
What can i do for her, they will be operating again on her but she is really scared to have it done again as she is worried she is to old and frail now to go through it again, she has lost loads of weight because of this.
I don't know what to do for her, she has no willpower and when she is pain would rather knock back painkillers now than go near the hospital, which is understandable after the last time, and would rather just ignore it.
She has wasted half her life fighting this, how can i make sure she isnt wasting the other half, this has also led to her having mental breakdowns with the pain (Schizophrenia,Depression) which is under control and thankfully hasnt ever arisen despite whats going on right now.
