Needing advise

Hello, I am troubled by a rectal discharge that has been going on for about a year. It is getting worse and I am experiencing some lower abdominal cramping. It seemed to have started as a cyst just inside of the rectal area. It became very large and was petruding out between the vaginal and rectal area. It burst in the night over a year ago and has been draining ever since. The drainage is seen almost daily and consist of balls of mucas with blood patches in it. I also see darker colored blood when I wipe or expell gas. I have to wear a pad because there is a drainage even when I do not go the bathroom. This cyst has appeared before but has bust and gone away. But not his time. I usually have to take fiber to keep my bowel movements soft or I cant seem to go very easily. When they do move they are like a ribbon, very thin and flat. I sometimes have a hard time even when it is very soft to go. My stomach is huge and I recently did a natural colon flush which made me very sick. I did it for 7 days and stopped because it made me feel so bad. I can not loose weight and I am 5'9" and weight 235 lbs. My legs and feet hurt continually and I am very tired and week. I have no insurance so I am hesitant to see a dr. I am concerned there might be a considerable cost concerning this problem. Does this sound like a life threatening situation? It obviously is not healing itself.

What you are describing sounds like a peri-rectal-vaginal abscess. I think you should have some one look at it as soon as possible. It may not be life threatening, but it sounds as if you definitely have an infection going on, which is what anal abscess and resulting fistula (channel that is created from the abscess from which the chronic pus or mucous drains) is. This is something that will not likely go away on its own, and should be looked at and treated medically, since an infection is present. Best wishes. I hope all goes well for you.
