Not Sure What To Do......

by pch1983, Jul 13, 2009 09:27PM
Ever since April things have taken an upexpected, as I am now finding out, confusing turn for me. Around April 4th I went to the doctor because of pain in my lower right side. I only have the one kidney on my right side, so I figured I should have it looked at just in case. The doctor basically dismissed me as having gas, but a week later I was in more pain, this time in my abdomin (abdomen) (mostly upper portion on both sides around bottom of the rib cage). My bowel movements were also becoming more frequent going from one or two times a day up to about five. After seeing another doctor they ran tests on my kidney (CT scan, 24 hour urine test) only to determine my kidney was fine and not willing to do much else. I finally got to a GI and by now I was always tired, dhydrated, in pain, and going to the bathroom upwards of 10+ times a day (sometimes diahrrea, but not always; sometimes mashed potato texture). The GI did a stool sample (normal) and a sigoscopy (normal). He then checked for celiac's disease (negative) and Crohn's disease (came back positive). I was happy to have an answer the doctor decided to run some more tests to be sure. He ran a colonoscopy (normal), upper endoscopy (normal) and a capsule endoscopy (normal). He now feels the Crohn's test was a false positive. I am at my witts end becase I am still in pain (mostly upper left side under rib cage but also upper right side and lower right side of abdomen), still going to the rest room 5-10 times a day, still tired, and still have a general unwell feeling to me. I need advice as to what I should do now. I thought I had answers only to be told that was false hope! Help!
