Passing Blood

I have had Crohn's Colitis for nearly a year and have ALWAYS passed blood in small amounts in my stool.  Normally I pass stool with mucus and slight streaks of blood.  For nearly 3 weeks the amount of blood has been growing and now I am passing no stool only blood and mucus or blood alone enough to change the toilet water.  It is both bright and dark red.  I am on Salofalk 2000mg 2x daily.  I assume this med is no longer offering me any relief and must be changed.

Hi, if I was you I would be seeing my Colorectal surgeon and letting them know that the problem is getting worse. Don't hesitate as I am very sorry i didn't get on the docs back harder than I did. I now have an Ileostomy (from CD), didn't bleed much at all, but had very bad mucus and that alone tells me your bowel is ulcerated enough. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE! YOUR HEALTH IS SO IMPORTANT!
