Can someone please help my curiosity on this considering I can't find anything on the internet that addresses this specifically. GI doc said last week suspects Crohns Colitis
caused by an infection. Don't see any other reason why I would start to feel better on own after only 3-4 weeks of having major problems (symptoms still present, but last 2 days decrease of intesnity about 50%, I'm so thankful and excited!!!!!) Symptoms have been: sudden severe cramping, burning, pain, bloating, bloody
sort of sick stomach feel, top part feeling urgency for BM, but have to push alot only to get small amount out, sometimes only tons of mucus minus the BM, black dots and ash looking pieces in BM's. But, the most curious symptom to me has been PASSING LOTS OF RED "RAW MEAT" looking pieces in BM's. Sometimes alot in one passing, somtimes only 1-2 pieces. Even though gross, I have been fascinated with this b/c of the strange factor (ha). Thought maybe food chunks at first, but GI said impossible and thinks "PIECES OF INTESTIONAL WALL". Not to make light out of feeling so bad, but told my best friend it puts a whole new spin to "spilling your guts" (ha,ha). SO, ANY HELP TELLING ME WHY THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING? GI was in bad mood that day, didn't want to ask too many questions. NOTHING I have read on the internet mentions passing pieces of that stuff; only blood and blood clots. These are not clots, while the blood I've passed has been a wine color, these are lighter apple color. Also, touched one with finger covered and it was pretty hard and rough, not soft like clots. Again, my guess is he'll see it's passing right on out of there from an infection clearing. However, have to have more info on those pieces. It's like I'm a kid with an odd descovery. And, truly respect all the painful, bad things you guys might have/are still going through. Not making light at all. Honestly, I've just felt so bad that it's made me feel better mentally to find humor where I can (however gross)
First off you need a new GI. I dont care if he/she is in a bad mood. If you have questions, are in pain and are not getting the answers you are looking for then you need to move on to someone that will answer your questions.
2. I was having similar issue and it was blood clots that had hardened and dried above the blockage and were working their ways out...again, if these are NOT clots then you need to get to a GI (A NEW ONE) and get some tests done.
Whatever is going on with you needs to be looked at and soon.
If you leave it and these pieces are getting held up in any inflammed areas and with you straining on the toilet just think of the damage that could be getting done to your intestinal walls. You need to get in to see your NEW GI. I can not stress that enough. Get an appointment.
