Perianal Itching and Humira

Perianal Itching and Humira

Hi, I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2006 and it's been managed with TNF blockers now for 3 years.  At first I was on Remicade but was taken off a year later and am now on Humira (which I will stay on until it doesn't work anymore).  In both instances, I had painful vaginal and perianal itching...so bad sometimes it would bleed from scratching it so much.  I complained about it to my doctors and was told there was no link with the TNF blockers and yeast/bacteria problems or itching.  Yet, when I went to the GYN she tested me and I had both a yeast infection and a bacterial infection.  She had to treat me twice for the yeast because it didn't work right away and the bacterial infection went away with a five day treatment.  Now, I'm beginning to have itching again but this time only around the perianal region, the same intensity as before.  This only began after I started receiving the TNF blocker again (Humira) about 6 months ago.

Has anyone else had this trouble with Humira or the other TNF inhibitors?
