CROHN'S DISEASE / ULCERATIVE COLITIS COMMUNITY
Producing more that usual saliva

Producing more that usual saliva

I have had Crohn;s disease since 2004 and have had a really rough time.  In short, my disease has never been in remission and I am only 25.  I have severe ulceration in the sigmoid as well as the rectum.  The disase is very hard on me each day but the past two days I have a new symptom.  My mouth is salivating I have no idea what is causing it or how to make it stop.  I am on a list of medications but have been for a long time (nothing new added).  My question is: What causes heavy saliva production and how can I prevent this?  Is it dangerous?

Thank you for your input.
