Question about seton tightening

Hello, I recently had a partial fistulotmy and a cutting seton placed in my rear end. On Monday I am going to have the seton tightened and was wondering if any local anesthetic is used for this procedure.

Hi there!

An anaesthetic is typically not required for such purposes buy may be used if indicated. You could discuss this with your gastroenterologist.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
