Small Bowel Resection

Small Bowel Resection

Today marks 6 weeks out from my second small bowel resection and 9 weeks out from my first. The first surgery removed 4inches and after some "bizarre" complications, the second surgery removed an additional 8.  I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease just over 10 years ago and have had it under control for the majority of that time...however the scar tissue finally built up to the point where a minor flare put me in the ER with a blockage.

Can people share with me their stories about recovery?  I can eat things I haven't had in years and that is exciting, but overall, I don't feel like me yet.  I just don't have people that have gone through it that I can ask what is normal, what I should expect, etc.?
Thanks
