Small bump near anus.

I am a 21 year old male, I have a small bump about two to three inches to the left of my anus, seeps just enough puss to put a mark on my underwear and sometimes bleeds... can someone tell me what it could be, probably is, should I be worried, and should I go to the E.R. I have had this for over a month.

You either have a cyst, or what is called an anal fissure, which is an infected tunnel leading from the anal canal to the area of swelling, these are normally closer to the anus than three inches, so it could be a cyst, you can try soaking in a tub of hot water twice a day for twenty minutes each time. If it does not break and drain in three or four days then I would suggest seeing an MD
