Type 1 + Chrons Disease

hi, i am a 24 yr old type 1 diabetic. have been for 13 years, have recently been diagnosed with chrons disease as well, apparently have had it for at least 4 years. have been put on steroids... with little sucess, but lots of bloating. have put on 4kgms in 4 weeks and want off these drugs., is there another treatment? as the doctor doesnt seem to be taking my concerns seriouslly. am 155cm so weight gain for me is a big issue as im a very petite person. obvioulsy increased insulin is not helping the cause... can anyone help me. the chrons is not a[ppearing to settle either, have really bad days where cant move or do anything coz pain is so bad or spend the day in the toilet.. i thought diabetes was bad but this is ruining my life.. i have a 1 year old son who i am struggling to look after. surely it gets better?
