UC and Asacol HD

I started taking Asacol HD about one week ago. I noticed this morning that I had 3 whole pills in my stool. One pill looked like it was open on one side, but had something white still in it. Not sure about the others. Is this normal to see whole pills in stool, and to see three at one time?

This happened to me when I was first diagnosed as well, and just as Jax23 said, it meant that my pills were not absorbing at all. Your doc needs to know so that you can be put on new medications that will actually help you.

You really need to see your doctors as it appears your medication is not working for you as it is not being absorbed. Good luck
