What are the next steps I can take for anal abscesses that won't heal?

I've had crohns since infancy. Misdiagnosed by stupid doctors with anorexia till age 14. Was so malnourished and weak I couldn't hardly walk. Immunosuppressent meds like humira and remmicade were miracle workers until I became allergic to them. Started to self treat with probiotics and herbs and good diet. I no longer have active crohns in my intestines, however the anal abscesses won't heal. I've had over 7 surgeries to lance, drain and place setons in them. I've taken antibiotics and steroids with no success. I've had setons in for EIGHT years!!!! Surely there are new treatment options for me by now, right?? What next steps have you taken to fight these horrible ugly things!!

I'm so sorry about your issues.

I came across the following article which I hope you may find useful:

"Tube in tract technique: a simple alternative to a loose draining seton in the management of complex fistula-in-ano – a video vignette"

Also -->

"Alternative method for placement of seton sutures in fistula-in-ano"

Placement of seton sutures is often difficult, requiring the passage of a large knot through the fistula tract. This can be avoided by feeding the end of a 0 polypropylene suture through the groove on the inner curve of a Lockhart-Mummery probe. The other end of the suture is again passed through the tract, leaving both free ends at the external opening. This creates a loop at the internal opening through which a vascular sling is placed. The suture is drawn through and the sling tied loosely. The knot is secured with a silk stitch to prevent it slipping.
