What questions should I ask my GI doctor

Hello to everyone who views this and hope your doing well. I was recently diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease I have not met my GI doctor yet but I go see him tomorrow 09/02/09. I have seen a doctor in his office before which whom I do not care for because of his rudeness so I requested another doctor there and here unless you travel 50 or so miles there just isn't much to chose from. Anyway I was hoping to hear back from someone who has been through this with having Gerd/IBS for as long as I can remember I am 47 years old (female) I had my gallbladder removed when I was 19 I have had stomach problems ever since. I need to know what questions I should ask the dr and is this Ulcerative Colitis or is it Crohn's  Any way I am new to all this like lots of others before me Hoping and seeking answers and praying I get through this because there are days it really takes it toll on me. Sorry you didn't get answers  before your appointment.  Have you had a colonoscopy for diagnosis?  How did the appointment go?
