Where to go from here?

I have had a recent flare up.  My employer has been wonderful, however I am having issues with My GI Doctor.  He will not fill out FMLA papers for my employer.  No reason is given as to why.  I asked my PCP and she stated that he is the treating physician and should fill them out.  I am at a loss as to where to turn from here. I did call the GI Doctor back to plead my case.  I just want to protect my job.

Hey -

Not to be blunt, but if your GI wont sign off on the FMLA paper, I would find a new GI that will work with you.  Fortunately/Unfortunately every time I had a flare up and it effected my work, my GI was more the accomedating and would sign my papers for me.  I am not sure how sever your flare ups are, but I know that mine would send me to the hospital for a week at a time.  One time I did not immediately end up in the hospital, but I would still end up in the ER, but not be admitted.

I hope this helps you, again sorry for being blunt.
