could this be Crohns?

by Bonnieabc, Sep 20, 2009 06:29AM
I have had 5 attacks of severe right side abdominal pain in the last few months.  It starts out as tenderness then I have about 8 hours of really bad that gets worse in spurts.  I then just have the tenderness for several days and sometimes a few days of nausea.  No vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms besides the pain.  After an Attack, my stomach is so bloated I can hardly wear my normal pants for a few days.  I can't tell that it is related to food at all.  Before the attacks started, my tongue was covered in painful sores for months that have finally gone away.  I also have a tiny bit of rectal bleeding after an attack for a day or two.

I am a 41 year old female, reasonably healthy and active, could probably lose 15-20 lbs.  I have had umbilical hernia repair and my appendix out in the last few years.  I have had a cat scan and ultrasound, my ovraies and gall bladder are fine- my liver is a little fatty.

Thanks for any help--
