, along with numerous other symptoms. one of my labs included a predictive Crohn's panel. The results showed some elevated antibodies that the doc red-flagged. She told me I would probably develop Crohn's sometime and suggested I see a gastroenterologist. Another specialist told me not to worry about the test.
I've had to do my own research. I haven't found doctors to be all that helpful. Since that time I've modified my diet greatly. After consulting an allergist I removed foods I reacted to. Then I stopped eating gluten, then soy, and more recently lactose
and limiting eggs. Each time I remove a food from my diet I improve, but I still seem to backslide from time to time, despite caution and diligence with food labels.
I felt ill last week after eating. It lasted a day or so, but I continued to work although my appetite wasn't normal. But a few days ago I awoke during the night with painful
, bloating and nausea. My stomach has been painfully sensitive since then and I've been weak to the point of barely getting out of bed or able to make it up a flight of stairs. Does this sound like Crohn's? Do any of you have similar experiences?
Yes, it sounds a lot like chrons. Chrons has all different symptoms - according to where the chrons is active - small or large intestine. It can be anywhere from mouth to anus. You need to see a gastroenterologist asap. It sounds like you may be having a flare. It would be good if you could take the predictive chrons test with you.
